- ●A historic samurai residence turned into a machiya hotel Machi no Odoriba is a 150-year-old samurai residence built before 1897, where Shoda Juntaro, the half-brother of Kanazawa's proud literary figure, Tokuda Shusei, lived. Shusei visited the residence from time to time, and described the house in his short story, "Machi no Odoriba." Enjoy Kanazawa at your leisure in this machiya hotel, a place like a "sunny spot where time melts away slowly." ●You can take a relaxing bath in the hot spring water while looking out at the garden After your bath, you can relax on the veranda of your room. To alleviate the coldness that is unique to old machiya houses, we have installed floor heating in the Japanese-style living room, so you can stay comfortable even on cold days. ●There is a private garden The private garden is nearly 166 square meters in size.
